    AVID Program

    The Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program is nationally recognized. AVID’s mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society. AVID accelerates student learning using evidence-based instructional practices, provides meaningful professional learning for teachers, and acts as a catalyst for systemic change schoolwide.

    College and Career Readiness

    Tri-City United Public Schools is dedicated to preparing students for success after graduation. Our College and Career Readiness programs provide the skills, knowledge, and experiences students need for higher education, the workforce, or any career path.

    Key opportunities include:

    • Academic Planning: Personalized guidance to meet graduation requirements and future goals.
    • College Credit: Earn credits through PSEO, and concurrent enrollment.

    Students in Lonsdale, Montgomery, and Le Center are now participating in our Elementary-8 STEAM program, which offers interdisciplinary, project-based learning experiences.
