Medication

A separate Administration of Medication at School form must be completed and signed by the parent for each medication to be administered to students during the school day. A physician’s signature is needed on the permission form for all prescription medications and for any over-the-counter medication that will be given at a higher dose than recommended on the label.

All medications must be brought to school in original containers. This includes both prescription and over-the-counter medications. Whenever possible, medication should be given at home, and every effort should be made to avoid giving the medication during school hours.
