K-6 Rotation Day 1


New Announcements for Students:

  • The MN Department of Human Services has launched  the Crisis Text Line.  The Crisis Text Line offers text-based suicide prevention services across Minnesota.  People who text MN to 741741 will be connected with a counselor who will help defuse the crisis and connect the texter to local resources.  This line is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Flyers have been hung throughout the school.

  • 5 - 8 Talent Show: The talent show will be Friday, June 1st from 1-230ish.   More details to come.

  • People interested in color guard need to see Mr. Root or come to the office and let the secretaries know if you can't find Mr. Root

  • Summer Musical:  The Lion King Jr.  Join Simba, Nala, Pumbaa and Timon as they work together to remove Scar and the Hyena's from the Pride Lands.  Come be a part of this fabulous show with great music and lots of fun! Auditions are Tuesday May 1st from 3-5 at the Montgomery Middle School Choir Room.  Everyone gets a part. Register through Community Ed.

  • K-4  May 3-Cookie dough pick-up

  • 6 -8 Grade Spring Dance: Friday, May 4th @ LeCenter Elem. gym and Commons area. 7:00-9:00 pm Cost is $5 Formal dress (not mandatory) Pop and water will be for sale in the concession stand

  • 8th graders who attended the Art Night at the high school in March may pick up their clay projects from the art room during advisory.

  • Community Ed. ball deadlines are approaching!  See below in the Community Ed section for further information.

  • Come one, come all to our TCU Lonsdale Elementary Community Carnival! There will be lots of great games, prizes, and food for all. From jump houses to carnival games, you are bound to have a blast! We also have some AMAZING silent auction and raffle -items as well! Bring your families, friends, and neighbors and join us for this fun community event!  This event for all ages will begin at 5:30 and end at 8:00 pm. On Friday April 27th.

  • Annual TCU Chess Tournament-Gr. K-8.  All TCU students welcomed to participate.  This will be a bracket style, single elimination tournament .  All levels and grade will play against each other. Saturday, May 19 at the Le Center American Legion. $5.  See Mr. Scott for details or questions.


  • If anyone has ice packs, please return them to nurse Jenney as she is running low again. Thank you!!

  • Repeat Announcements for Students:
  • 7th Grade: Field trip to Ney Nature Center will be on Tuesday, May 8th, please have permission forms turned in by May 1st.
  • 6th Grade: Field trip to Fort Snelling will be on April 26th, permission forms are due Friday

  • The TCU Marching Band is looking for anyone interested in forming a color guard and flag squad for the summer and fall marching seasons.  People do not have to be in band to be a part of this. Any current 8-11 grade students are welcome. For questions, details, or anything else please contact Mr. Root at or stop in and see him.

  • Students: Eating breakfast in the link is an option for those purchasing school breakfast, you are not allowed to bring food from home and eat it in the link, that needs to be done before school.

  • Summer Reading: There are U of M summer reading program flyers are available in the office

  • Reminder that only 5th grade students are to exit via the northwest door at the end of the day. Too many 7/8 grade students are using that as an exit when they are to be using the link doors.    Thank you.

  • Students:  Food is to be eaten in the lunchroom. This includes a la carte and seconds! You MUST have a tray to get extras of daily entree. (If there are any leftovers) No food is to leave the lunchroom.

  • Students: The Lunch staff will be putting wipes out by the microwave, they are asking that each time you use the microwave you wipe it out when you are finished.

  • Gustavus Volleyball Summer Camp 2018 flyers are in the office.

  • ALL STUDENTS: There are to be no hats worn during the school day and that includes knit hats as well! Thank you!

  • 5-8 Students: There will only be a limit of 2 ala carte items during lunch. You can get multiple items, but only two of the same items. You may only go through the ala carte line once. Thank you

  • All Students: There is to be no food or drink in the link or the classrooms other than water.

  • 7th and 8th grade : Pop is NOT allowed in the lunchroom, and if you are drinking anything from a can to please remember to recycle.

Tri-City United Community Education has been chosen to host a Minnesota Twins Play Ball Clinic this spring!

Saturday, April 21       9 a.m. for ages 6 - 9 10:30 a.m. for ages 10 - 13

Montgomery Middle School ball field A or the middle school gym if bad weather

* Parent must sign a waiver on-site that morning
